Helping Professionals Make a Difference
We train teachers, support workers and other professionals to recognise the signs of abuse. They learn how to respond with care and guide people to the right support.
Our Mission
At CDA, we want people everywhere to feel confident enough to speak up and ask for help when things at home aren't safe. So many people go through difficult and frightening situations at home, often in silence. Our aim is simple: to help reduce these situations happening, and to make sure that anyone going through one is truly heard.
We're here to walk alongside people as they move from a difficult chapter towards a safer, stronger one. We believe in stepping in early and acting with care. There are many organisations out there offering help, but CDA aims to be a partner people can lean on; quick to respond, easy to talk to, and built around what each person actually needs.
We work closely with local councils, community groups, and other helpful organisations, so that wherever someone lives, they can find the right support close by.
We train teachers, support workers and other professionals to recognise the signs of abuse. They learn how to respond with care and guide people to the right support.
We help organisations understand what support may be available. This makes it easier for people to access the help they need.
We listen, explain options in simple language and help people understand their next steps. We are here to offer guidance with care and respect.
We visit places to teach young people about healthy relationships. We also help them recognise unhealthy behaviour and where to seek support.
Vision & Values
These principles shape how CDA supports victims, partners, and communities every day.
We picture a world where abuse at home is never brushed aside or accepted as normal. We're committed to standing beside victims, helping more people understand the issue.
Kindness comes first. Every single person who reaches out to us deserves to be treated with warmth, patience, and respect; no matter their story or how they tell it. Safety comes first.
When someone reaches out, every moment matters. We act quickly to provide timely support, clear guidance and reassurance, helping people without unnecessary delays.
